Aug 7 was a great night for the girls of RVRG. The final home game of the season saw both teams take the win from their southern Ontario rivals. Riot Squad was the first to taste victory with a 70 to 56 final score over GTA’s Chrome Mollys. Evenly matched, both teams gave it all they had, but in the end, it was the Riot Squad who came up golden.
Game two saw the Slaughter Daughters live up to their name as they dominated ToRD’s Smoke City Betties to take the game with a final score of 248 to 14 for RVRG. The Betties never gave up and played hard and strong both periods but with a 2010 roster filled mostly with newer skaters, they couldn’t keep up with the more experienced Daughters.
RVRG wants to thank TORD and GTA for their tremendous spirit and amazing sportsmanship. You ladies were fierce!
And thank you Ottawa, for your cheers and support! See you in 2011!
